Do Penis Extenders Work?

Over the past year or so, there have been a lot of sites popping up which sell penis extenders.

A lot of guys write to me and want to know what I think about extenders, so I decided to look into these devices. After doing a lot of investigation and testing of these devices on my own, I'm now finally ready to present my findings to you here.

I hope that the information I've given you here helps to cut through all the b.s. surrounding these devices, and tells you the plain and simple truth about penis extenders.

So what exactly is a penis extender?

A penis extender is a small device that you wear on your penis which use traction to enlarge the penis.

Traction is really just a fancy word for tension or resistance. In simple terms, a penis extender applies constant tension to your penis, gently pulling it outward. The idea is that over time, this causes your cell tissue to expand which makes your penis permanently longer and thicker.

So how is a penis extender different than penis exercises?

This is a question I get asked a lot. Particularly since I am such a big fan of penis enlargement exercise programs.

So how are exercises and extenders different?

Well a good exercise program only requires you to exercise for 15 - 30 minutes per day, and only 5 days per week. The rest of the time, you don't need to do anything to your penis.

On the other hand, penis extender sites generally recommend that you use an extender for up to 12 hours each day, every single day - for up to 6 months!

That's a huge difference, wouldn't you say?

But as I have learned, this discrepancy doesn't mean that one method is better or worse than the other, because the physiological principles behind each method are very different. And apparently each principle requires a very different regimen in order to work.

You see, exercise programs enlarge the penis through targeted blood movement exercises which causes cell expansion to occur. Meanwhile, penis extenders enlarge the penis through constant and equal tension (also known as traction), which causes tissue regeneration and expansion to occur.

So which way is better?

Well, it depends. As with anything, it depends on what you're actually comparing. Some exercise programs are far better than others, and as you'll soon learn, the same thing applies to extenders. For certain reasons, some extenders are better than others.

We already know that penis exercises work.

As I've said for a very long time, a good penis enlargement exercise program like Massive Member or Penis Video is an excellent and affordable way to enlarge your penis safely and naturally.

But what about penis extenders... do they work?

Are penis extenders as good or better than penis enlargement exercise programs?

That seems to be the question that every guy has on his mind.

Guys write to me all the time and want to know: what should I buy? Should I go with a good exercise program, or would a penis extender give me better or faster results?

These are excellent questions - and I now have the answer. Let's take a look at my findings...

My Penis Extender Study

Even before I began my research, I had been told by several of my sources that many sites sell the exact same brand of extender.

Apparently, they don't want you to know this - probably so you won't comparison shop or buy from somewhere else.

In any case, I decided to find out if this rumor was true before I started spending my hard-earned cash on a bunch of identical penis extenders.

Well after a lot of searching, fine print reading, emails and a few purchases, I finally found out that the rumor is totally true. In fact, from what I can determine, there are only 3 different brands of extenders being sold on the internet. And as you may know, there are A LOT more than 3 sites selling these things!

The 3 Brands of Extenders

To keep from getting in any trouble, I can't tell you the brand names of some of these products because they wouldn't give me permission to do so. I guess they didn't want their secret exposed.

  • Extender Brand # 1: Comes from Denmark, and it's very expensive. They even sell a 24 carat gold plated version with engraving for roughly a thousand U.S. Dollars!!! That's totally ridiculous and unnecessary in my opinion. Anyway, several sites sell this brand of extender but they usually market it under their own name. (Extender uses spring-loaded tensioners)

  • Extender Brand # 2: Comes from Spain, and it's also very expensive. A LOT of sites sell this brand of extender but they usually market it under their own name. (Extender uses spring-loaded tensioners)

  • Extender Brand # 3: Comes from USA, and it's the least expensive of the three brands. Believe it or not, only 1 site sells this brand. They have some sort of system with it which includes a bunch of decent supplements and a good online membership. The system is actually a really good deal. They were the only ones who agreed to let me use their name, which is ProSizer.

The people at ProSizer were quick to point out that their extender is unique because it DOES NOT use spring-loaded tensioners. I'll tell you why this is important in a moment.

Testing the 3 Different Brands of Extenders

Extender Brand # 1 from Denmark
I started out by testing the extender from Denmark. It was the most expensive one I bought. It arrived in some fancy little wooden box. How ridiculous! I would have preferred that they keep the wooden box and give me a discount on the extender instead. Don't be fooled by the fancy wooden box - it's a total waste of money and space. I've never had the desire to disassemble the whole extender and put it away neatly in the box, and I doubt you will either.

Anyway, I assembled the extender and tried using it exactly as they instructed. I had a lot of problems adjusting the tension properly because they use these spring-loaded tension bars which applied way more tension to my penis than I wanted. I tried reducing the length of the bars to reduce tension but the stupid springs kept making up for the difference in length. It was very uncomfortable. I started getting really frustrated, so I emailed the company where I bought it from and asked them how to fix this. Eventually they wrote back and basically said that I was supposed to feel a lot of tension, but that I could try messing around with the device until it felt more comfortable. Gee, thanks for the help (sarcasm).

So despite my reservations, I decided that for the sake of my study I should try using the device, even though it seemed to stretch my penis too much. I put it on, wore it for the recommended amount of time (even though it was uncomfortable), then removed it. Soon after, my penis started to feel very sore. I mean it hurt like hell. So I emailed them again and I asked if this was normal. I mentioned my concerns that the tension could not be adjusted properly. This time they didn't write back. I emailed them several more times and they never responded. Finally, I gave up.

I decided to never use Extender # 1 from Denmark ever again, because it did not allow me to properly adjust the tension. The springs contained in the bars made it impossible for me to adequately reduce the tension, and as a result, I know that I stretched my penis too far.

I didn't want to risk injury by using this particular device again.

It was at that point that I understood what ProSizer meant when they said that spring-loaded tensioners are not a good idea.

So anyway, on to test # 2.

Extender Brand # 2 from Spain
I bought this extender next. I quickly found that there are a lot of similarities between this extender from Spain and the one from Denmark (discussed above).

  • Both arrived in useless wooden boxes which I have never used.
  • Both were very expensive.
  • Both looked almost identical.
  • Both had spring-loaded tensioners.
Once I saw that this one had the same spring-loaded tension bars, I knew I was in trouble. My last experience with spring-loaded tensioners was not a good one... I stretched my penis too far and it hurt for several days.

But I committed myself to doing this study, so I at least had to try it. I hoped that this brand of extender had a better tension adjustment than the last one.

Unfortunately, it did not. This extender had the same clumsy little tension adjustments as the other extender, and when I would turn them back to reduce tension those stupid springs would increase tension; thus, I could not adequately reduce the tension.

In other words, this extender had the exact same spring-loaded tensioner problem as the first extender!

I couldn't believe that when it came to tension adjustment, both extenders had the same horrible design.

Let me tell you, when it comes to some gadget pulling on my penis, I want to have total control over it. I don't want to risk injury to my penis.

But as I've found, there's no way to adequately control the tension with these 2 extenders (from Denmark and Spain) because there are springs involved. I DO NOT LIKE the inability to control tension with these extenders.

Anyway, my study would not be complete without at least trying this extender from Spain so that's what I did. I followed all the instructions and wore it for the recommended amount of time. And as expected, after I took it off my penis started throbbing (not in a good way).

That was the first AND last time I ever used that lousy thing.

So after some rest, I was on to test # 3.

Extender Brand # 3 from USA
Even before I ordered this extender, there was something that I really liked about it - NO spring-loaded tensioners!

On their site, they make a big deal out of how spring-loaded tensioners can be dangerous because you can't control them very well. I have to say, THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. That's exactly the problem I experienced when I tried using Extender # 1 and Extender # 2.

After reading their site and seeing that they didn't use springs with their extender, I was very eager to try it. When you go to order from their site, they give you 2 choices: you can order just the extender by itself or for a little bit more you can get the whole system which is the extender plus a bunch of pills and an online membership. I chose to get the whole system because it was a much better deal.

The system arrived quickly and I was glad to see that they had not wasted my money on sending me a stupid wooden box. I already had 2 wooden boxes I didn't need - and I didn't want a third.

This extender looked just like the first 2, except it had no springs (which was a good thing). Instead, the tension is completely controlled by two manual screw tension adjustment knobs, one on each bar. I liked the fact that I had complete control over the amount of tension applied to my penis. Finally, there was a company that understood the problem and they offered a solution!

I was very excited to try it. I quickly assembled the device, put it on and then adjusted the tension to a comfortable setting. I wore it for 4 hours (which is what they recommended for initial use) and during that time, I forgot I was wearing it.

After 4 hours, I took it off and my penis felt great. There was no soreness at all. I know that this was because I could control the tension.

Since I could adjust the tension with this extender, I continued using it every day for the next 2 months. During the first 2 weeks, I wore it for only 4 hours each day as recommended. During my 3rd week I wore it for 6 hours each day, and during my 4th week I wore it for 8 hours each day. After that, I wore it between 8 - 10 hours each day.

I didn't measure my penis at all during those 2 months, but I could tell it was working just by how my penis looked and felt.

Well, after 2 months I finally measured myself. I measured my penis twice - once when it was flaccid and once when it was erect. Here's the results:

My Results: After Using the ProSizer for 2 Months

FLACCID
  • Flaccid Length Increase: 1 and 5/8 inches
  • Flaccid Girth Increase:    3/4 inch
ERECT
  • Erect Length Increase: 1 and 1/4 inches
  • Erect Girth Increase:    5/8 inch
On average, this is almost a 1.5 inch increase in length!

Not too shabby, huh?

I have to admit, I was surprised to see that my flaccid increases were more than my erect increases, but I guess that makes sense since I was flaccid most of the time while using the extender.

A Summary of My Penis Extender Study

In doing this study, I learned some very important things about penis extenders. In a nutshell, here's what you need to know:

  • DO NOT use an extender with spring-loaded tensioners.
If there's one thing I learned, it's that you MUST have TOTAL CONTROL over the amount of tension applied to your penis. It's necessary for your comfort AND for your safety. And as I've found, only 1 brand of extender gives you total control: ProSizer.

  • Don't buy an extender because it has a fancy box or because it's gold-plated.
These options won't help you get a bigger penis. They are only there to make you spend more money. A gold-plated extender works the same as a regular extender - so why waste your money on a gold one? And if you're like me, you'll never feel like taking apart your extender and storing it in the box, so why bother having it? Don't be suckered by these enticements.

  • Extenders definitely work - but choose wisely for your safety.
Without a doubt, the best choice for an extender is ProSizer, because it doesn't use spring-loaded tensioners. ProSizer lets you have 100% control over the amount of tension applied to your penis. This is crucial for your safety and for getting the best results. ProSizer is the only extender I recommend - it works and it's safe.

  • Take advantage of a good deal.
As I mentioned before, when you go to order from ProSizer, they give you 2 choices: you can order just the extender by itself or for a little bit more you can get the whole system which is the extender plus a bunch of pills and an online membership. I chose to get the whole system because it was a much better deal. I didn't use the pills or online membership while I tested their extender because I wanted to see what the extender could do just on it's own. But if you order the ProSizer, I would definitely recommend getting the full system with the pills and online membership because I have evaluated all of these products and they are all excellent. Best of all, you end up saving 300 bucks so it's a great deal.
To sum it all up, I recommend the ProSizer system at prosizer.com.

The ProSizer extender is safer and more comfortable because it doesn't use spring-loaded tensioners. This is very important. Not only that, they offer the best deal - especially when you order their whole system with the pills and the online membership. I also found their customer service to be excellent and delivery was discrete and prompt.
